Last updated October 27, 2026 (ads section added). The Week Eye is operated by Tuxxin LLC, 10226 Curry Ford Road, Suite 107 PMB 1192, Orlando, FL 32825. Questions go through the contact form.

What we collect and why

  • Account: your email address (to send sign-in codes and, if you opt in, the weekly email) and the public handle you choose. We never show your email.
  • Avatar: an image you upload. We re-encode it and remove its metadata, including any location data.
  • Play records: when the puzzle image reached your browser, each guess, and when you solved it. These produce your times, stats and leaderboard position, and they let us review results that look automated. For the same review we record a few play signals: how often a phone was rotated, how often the page lost focus, and the delay before your first keystroke.
  • Network address: your IP address, used for rate limits, abuse prevention and fair-play review. Records older than 12 months are deleted.
  • Mailing list: your email and when you confirmed or unsubscribed.
  • Contact form: your name, email and message, stored as a support ticket.

Cookies and browser storage

  • we_s: keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in.
  • we_a: a random id that ties a puzzle attempt and the security token to your browser when you play without an account.
  • we_inv: remembers who invited you, for 30 days.
  • Your light, dark and style choices, and your cookie choice, are kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_8HK0TGGYN6): set only if you press Accept on the cookie banner. They let Google Analytics count visits and pages viewed and tell new visitors from returning ones. They last up to 2 years.

The site sets no analytics cookies until you accept, and works the same if you reject. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; rejecting removes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Ads on the site are served by Tuxxin LLC's own ad network (see below). Basic visitor counts also come from a cookie-free analytics service that runs whatever you choose.

Who processes data for us

  • Cloudflare: hosting network, security, bot checks (Turnstile), email delivery and cookie-free web analytics.
  • Google: Google Analytics 4, only after you accept analytics cookies. It receives the pages you view, how you arrived, your browser, device and approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not store). We do not send your email, handle or answers to Google, and we have not enabled Google advertising features. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Tuxxin LLC services: cookie-free page analytics (Umami), the support ticket system, and network lookups on contact-form messages to filter spam.
  • Discord: when someone reports an avatar, the reported handle and image link are sent to the owner's private Discord channel.
  • Amazon: if you follow an Amazon link, Amazon's own privacy policy applies on its site.

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

Ads

The site shows ads from Tuxxin LLC's own ad network, for Tuxxin projects and partners. No third-party ad network runs on the site. The ad network receives the page you are on so it can choose an ad, and it counts how often ads are shown and clicked. It does not receive your email, handle or answers, and we do not use Google advertising features. Ads are labeled as ads.

Children

Accounts require you to be 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

  • Turn the weekly email off in your account, or with the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Accept or reject analytics cookies with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
  • Delete your account from the account page. Your profile, results, achievements and email are removed at once.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, or a correction, through the contact form.
